teh TOTALLY 80s s3quence

music was a cornerstone of my childhood. i grew up with mtv and what i consider to be the height of radio — back when dj’s played good music that wasn’t dictated by record labels. some people think that 80s music sounds kitchy, dated, or lo-fi, but i say it’s all of these things that make 80s music great. music was going through a revolution at the time. the 80s saw the rise of punk, goth, industrial, dance and idm — though not all of them were called those things at the time. and 80s music was and will always be the music of my childhood and fills me both with nostalgia and an uncontrollable urge to dance. so, i had to make this 80s mix. it wasn’t a choice, it was a need.
