mid-20s crisis

i don’t know if this is specifically a gen X thing (or gen Y, or whateverthefuck us 20-somethings are considered), or if this is a phenomenon that predates our generation…

i’ve noticed that there’s a period of time that almost everyone i know who’s my age has experienced.  After college (or whatever they did instead of college), you’re out in the real world for the first time, or possibly have been for a while, you’ve had a couple crappy jobs and want something that’s more stable, more real, and you want to be able to enjoy it.  However, you have no f’ing clue what that is.  Or possibly you do, but you don’t know how to get there.  So you have this oh shit, what do i do now? experience which I call “mid-20s crisis.”

  1. yeah, there's an inherent problem with getting hooked up with someone half your age during a mid-20s crisis, and that's called "statutory rape"….

also, since most the mid-20s peeps i know are broke, a new car wouldn't make anything better either…
